MCMINNVILLE, Ore. -- Pacific senior TJ Turner won the 125-pound championship Sunday at Linfield's Mat Cat Open. 

Turner was hardly tested in the bracket, winning by a major decision in the semifinals and then pinning Umpqua Community College's Chase Manski in the finals to take home the title.

Freshan Matthew Gray also had a big day for the Boxers, placing fourth at 165 pounds. Gray finished 2-2, winning by tech fall in the quarterfinals and then  a 9-6 decision in the consolation semifinals.

Next: Pacific will wrestle in the Evergreen Open on Saturday, Jan. 17 in Olympia, Wash.
