FOREST GROVE, Ore. — Stephanie Garrett scored six goals, including four in the second half as visiting Redlands passed Pacific 15-9 in a non-conference women's lacrosse match-up at Hanson Stadium.
The win gives the Bulldogs a 7-4 overall record, while the Boxers drop to 5-2.
Redlands outscored Pacific 8-3 in the second half, thanks in part to Garrett's barrage.
In the first half, the Bulldogs built a 6-2 lead, only to watch the Boxers roar back behind three scores by
April Lanz. Lanz scored twice in the last 1:30 before the break to make the count 7-6. Brittany Bardin then tied the game at 7-7 just 45 seconds into the second half.
Garrett and Pacific's
Jordyn Godfrey exchanged goals to make it 8-8 on the scoreboard with just under 25 minutes to go in the match. But Redlands then went on a tear, scoring five unanswered goals, two of them by Garrett, to make it 13-8 with 7:38 to play, sealing the match.
Lanz and Godfrey finished with three goals each to pace the Boxers.
Pacific will host another SCIAC team this Saturday, when Occidental comes to Hanson Stadium. Start time is 11 a.m.
