McMINNVILLE, Ore. — Nine different Boxers scored goals helping visiting Pacific cruise to a 18-4 lacrosse victory over Linfield on Saturday morning in Northwest Conference action.
Pacific improved to 7-3 overall and to 4-1 in NWC action with the victory. Linfield remains winless in 2016 at 0-11 and 0-5 in conference play.
Jordyn Godfrey and
April Lanz had four goals apiece for the Boxers, and
Meg Chapman added a trio of scores as Pacific completed the season sweep over the Wildcats.
Early on, it was Linfield who put the scare into the Boxers. Linfield's Genna Hughes found the next first to put the home team ahead at 24:32, and the 'Cats Amber Kaholoaa made it 2-1 Linfield at 23:13.
But Godfrey scored twice in the next two minutes and Lanz would tally three strikes in a row after that, a part of an 8-0 Pacific run that sealed the contest. The Boxers would lead 12-3 at halftime.
In addition to Godfrey, Lanz and Chapman, also putting points on the scoreboard were

Jasmyne Adame,
Brittney Bardin,
Nicki Leeming and
Mahea Wong. Godfrey also had four assists to tie the single-season Pacific mark and Lanz had three. Wong had five caused turnovers and three draw controls.
Next action for the Boxers will be this coming Thursday (April 14) when they host Colorado College. Start time at Hanson Stadium will be 10 a.m.
