Holly Chang-Northway opened her senior season in memorable fashion as she not only opened her scoring account, but recorded an opening game hat trick in the Boxers' 5-3 loss to Evergreen State.

After an opening goal by Haleigh Ryneski and an own goal by Pacific, the Geoducks took a 2-0 lead into half.

The Boxers responded in the 63rd minute when Chang-Northway (Eugene, Ore.) sent a shot to the far post and tucked her season opening goal into the upper-90. The senior was not done, as she doubled her total three minutes later with a goal inside the 18-yard box off an assist from sophomore
Mikayla Tucker (Eugene, Ore.).

Evergreen State recovered from the Pacific rally with goals in the 78th minute and the 81st minute before a Geoduck foul in the penalty box allowed Chang-Northway an opportunity to complete her hat trick from the penalty spot in the 84th minute.

A final Geoduck goal in the 86th minute capped the high scoring affair for Evergreen State.

Chang-Northway scored three goals on just three shots, while sophomore
Emily Thompson (Orange County, Calif.) added a pair of shots to the Pacific total. Sophomore
Kailey Hifumi (Mililani, Hawaii) recored four saves in goal.

The Boxers return to the pitch on Saturday with a 4:30 p.m. scheduled kickoff at home against Northwest.
