SALEM, Ore. – The Pacific women's soccer team earned its fifth-straight clean sheet on Sunday at Sparks Field, as the Boxers topped Willamette 1-0 thanks to a second half goal by senior
Breezy Brookbank.

In defensive battle, neither team was able to place many shots on frame, but Brookbank (Burien, Wash.) forced Willamette's Emily Sewall into a save in just the second minute of action. Willamette's lone shot on goal in the opening period was saved off the line by a Pacific defender.

 The second period did not see a shot until the 64th minute, when senior
Holly Chang-Northway (Eugene, Ore.) sent a shot wide of goal. Pacific pushed the attack over the next 10 minutes as senior
Ashley Park-Hunt (Mililani, Hawaii) saw her shot in the 69th minute was blocked by the Bearcats defense.

Kailey Hifumi (Mililani, Hawaii) turned away a Willamette shot in the 72nd minute, moments before Brookbank blocked a kick by Willamette's keeper and pounced on the rebound to score her second goal of the season.

Willamette managed three more shots before time expired, while Pacific notched one last shot in the match to finish with seven on the day.

Hifumi notched her fifth clean sheet in six matches, while recording one save.
