In the 87
th minute, the visiting Loggers of Puget Sound ended a scoreless tie to rally for a 1-0 win over the Pacific University women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon.
The Boxers (4-3-1, 2-2 NWC) and Loggers (7-1, 4-0 NWC) were entrenched in a scoreless battle for most of the contest.

Holly Chang-Northway (Eugene, Ore.) had a chance to put the Boxers on the scoreboard in the 78
th minute when her shot was blocked by the Loggers' defense. Nearly a minute later, she had an attempt that was saved by Loggers' goalkeeper Lauren Thomas. Pacific goalkeeper

Puget Sound countered the attack by the Boxers with a series of shots, including a header by Emma Donckels that went over the goal in the 83
rd minute. Then, Grayson Williams-Krebs ended the 0-0 contest with a shot in the far post in the 87
th minute for what proved to be the game-winning goal. Thomas closed out the contest with two saves for the shutout.
Next up for Pacific is a matchup on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. against Linfield at Hanson Stadium to wrap up a four-game homestand.
