Pacific Men's Soccer Loses to Oregon Tech, 1-0

The Pacific University men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Oregon Tech on Saturday evening at Hanson Stadium.

The Hustlin' Owls (2-0) ended a scoreless contest in the 67th minute when Lucas Hale corralled the ball after a pass from a pair of teammates that deflected off a pair of players to the back of the net.

The Boxers (1-1) withstood a Oregon Tech attack for most of the contest with junior goalkeeper Leyton Thommasen (Des Moines, Wash.) making eight saves between the posts. Pacific had 11 shots with Matt Kimball (Tigard, Ore.) recording a team-high five in the loss.

Trailing 1-0 and following a card issues to the visitors, Pacific sought to equalize when a shot by Kimball was blocked by the Eagles' wall in the 75th minute and a rebound attempt sailed wide left.

The Boxers had a final attempt in the 77th minute when a breakaway attempt by Peter Vizzoni (Snohomish, Wash.) was saves by Hustlin' Eagles goalkeeper Dino Rozac, who made four saves in a shutout.
