The Pacific University women's tennis team hosted Mills College on Sunday afternoon in Forest Grove.

The Boxers (1-0) took advantage of the sunshine splashed Forest Grove to play part of the match outdoors en route to a 9-0 win over the visiting Dragons (0-3). 

Pacific surrendered just one point in the win to the visitors from Oakland, Calif. Among the winners were first-year players Megan Meatte (Meridian, Idaho), Rochelle Schoenthal (McMinnville, Ore.) and Taylor Smallwood (Alamo, Calif.), who picked up their first college singles wins. Meatte and Smallwood came together for an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles.

Next, Pacific will turn its attention towards the 2018 portion of its schedule.
