Pacific Picks Up Win Number 14

The Pacific University volleyball team hit at a .287 clip in a 25-18, 25-20, 25-17 win over Lewis & Clark on Friday night in the Stoller Center.

The .287 hitting percentage is the highest of the season against a Northwest Conference team for Pacific, who improves to 14-5 overall and 7-4 in conference play. It marks the third-straight season of at least seven conference wins for the Boxers. Plus, the 14 wins match the 2016 and 2007 squad for the most wins in the NCAA history for Pacific.

Lewis & Clark, who falls to 2-16 overall and 1-10 in the Northwest Conference were led by a 10-kill effort from Makena Ohlmaier.

Sophomore Milana Ivkovic (Beaverton, Ore.) had 10 kills to lead Pacific; plus junior Morgan Mendicino (San Diego, Calif.) added seven kills, nine digs and two blocks in the win. Freshman Jordan Zweifel (Tillamook, Ore.) contributed nine kills and junior Ellie Parker (Beaverton, Ore.) had 35 assists and a pair of kills.

A dump kill by Parker led to a three-point spurt in the opening set for the Boxers, who nearly led from start to finish. Pacific sophomore Karlee Duncan (Bend, Ore. / pictured above) had six of her nine kills to lead the Boxers.

The Boxers held the lead from start to finish in the second set with five-different players recording multiple kills including four from Ivkovic.
