SPOKANE, Wash. — Junior
Gabby Glaser scored the first goal of her career in the Boxers 5-1 road loss to Whitworth at the Whitworth Soccer Field.
The league leading Pirates (11-4-1, 10-1-1 NWC) scored the opening goal in the 16th minute via a Kathryn Bischoff penalty try, before adding the eventual game winner in the 57th minute when Bischoff asssisted on a Michele Whan goal.
Leah Corra made it 3-0 in the 60th minute with her eighth goal of the year, while Coby Yoshimura tallied the Pirates' fourth goal in the 74th minute.
The Boxers got on the board in the 85th when junior
Emily Thompson (Orange County, Calif.) assisted on Glaser's (Santa Rosa, Calif.) first career goal.
The Pirates added a final insurance goal in the 86th when Kara Need scored on the second penalty try of the day for Whitworth.
THE MATCH WAS OVER WHEN... Whan found the upper-90 from 20 yards out to give the Pirates a 2-0 advantage in the 57th minute.

Ariela Bali (Aiea, Hawaii) made five saves in her second career start in goal.
