TACOMA, Wash. — A couple of first half goals proved all the scoring to be seen at East Field on Sunday as Puget Sound topped Pacific 2-0.
Puget Sound (6-3-3, 4-2-2 NWC) tallied the opening goal in the 14th minute, when Tess Peppis assisted on a goal by Genevieve Cheatham. The Loggers added a second in the 23rd minute when Emily Prasil gave Puget Sound a 2-0 advantage over the Boxers (0-10-2, 0-7-1 NWC).
THE MATCH WAS OVER WHEN... Pacific junior
Mikayla Tucker (Eugene, Ore.) forced Puget Sound goalkeeper Jamie Lange into a save during the 40th minute, the Boxers lone shot on goal until the final minute of the match.
STAT OF THE GAME... Four Boxers went the full 90 at Puget Sound, with freshman
