Four Boxers scored in double figures – all four were career-high efforts – to lead the Pacific University men's basketball to an 87-74 win over Evergreen State at the McArthur Classic on Saturday in Tacoma.

Nick Edens (Bainbridge, Wash.) added 18 and 10 points, respectively.
Evergreen State (0-3) had three players in double figures including Dustin Meade, who had a game-high 21 on the strength of five 3-pointers in the loss. He was joined in double figures by Shawn Spencer and Ryan Quigley, who had 15 and 11 points, respectively.
Pacific shot 50% from the floor and had another successful day at the free-throw line, making 82.4% (14 of 17) of its attempts. Plus, the Boxers outrebounded the taller Geoducks by three, 40-37. Senior
Nate Olowo (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) grabbed a team-high eight boards) and Brown handed out a game-high five assists to go along with his 20 points.
Brown re-entered the game with 6:03 left in the opening half for the Boxers. The junior from Everett, Washington sparked an 11-2 run, scoring seven of the points to put Pacific ahead 34-25 in the first 20 minutes and for the remainder of the contest.
With a six-point halftime lead, 39-33, the Boxers started the second half on a 10-3 run to stretch the lead to 13, 49-36. Later in the half, Evergreen State came back with a 13-4 run to cut the deficit to 53-49 with 9:46 to play.
The Boxers answered the run with 13 unanswered points to push the lead to double digits for the rest of the contest.
Next, Pacific will travel to California for games against Cal Tech (Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.) and La Verne (Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m.).
