The Pacific University women's tennis team recorded a 7-2 win over Puget Sound on Sunday in Forest Grove.
The Boxers (2-2, 1-2 NWC) started the match, winning No. 2 and No. 3 doubles for a 2-1 lead. Next, Pacific won five of six singles matches – all in straight sets to secure the victory.
 
Among the winners were 
Kaitlyn Lomartire (Portland, Ore.) by a 6-1, 6-2 margin at No. 1 singles; 
Danielle du Plooy (Cape Town, South Africa)was victorious at No. 2 by a 6-3, 6-2 margin. Also, 
Chantelle Baclay (Lahaina, Hawaii) won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 singles; 
Sophia Nishimura (Honolulu, Hawaii) posted a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 4 singles and 
Marissa Hayashi (Hilo, Hawaii) won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
Lomartire and 
Mai Kobayashi (Waikoloa, Hawaii) teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles and Hayashi and Baclay were 9-7 winners at No. 3 doubles.
 
Next, the Boxers are idle until Mar. 4 and 5 when they will travel to face Whitworth (Mar. 4 at 10 a.m.) and Whitman (Mar. 5 at 10 a.m.)
