MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — Pacific got goals from
April Lanz,
Paisley Hiefield and
Meg Chapman in a 21-9 neutral site loss to the Colorado College Tigers on Saturday.
Hiefield (Portland, Ore.) scored he opening goal of the game two minutes into the afternoon, before the Tigers answered at the 27:22 mark. Hiefield doubled her tally at 25:10 off an assist from
Jordyn Godfrey (Burnt Hills, N.Y.).
The back-and-forth action of the first half continued as Lanz (Oregon City, Ore.) broke a 2-2 tie with her first goal of the day, only to score twice more to give the Boxers a 5-3 lead with 12:18 left in the first half.
Pacific soon held a 6-4 lead when Hiefield struck again to complete her hat trick. The Boxers' were not done scoring in the first period as Lanz scored her fourth goal of the half to give Pacific a 7-6 lead with 3:20 remaining in the half.
The Tigers closed out the half with two-straight goals, before scoring 10-straight to open the second half to take a 19-7 lead.
Chapman (Woodinville, Wash.) scored the Boxers' first goal of the second half, while Lanz wrapped up the scoring at the 2:28 mark after two-straight Tigers goals before time expired on a 21-9 Colorado College victory.
Adrienne Salzwedel (Beaverton, Ore.) recorded eight saves for the Boxers.
Pacific returns to Hanson Stadium on March 18, with a 3 p.m. first draw against George Fox.
