NEWBERG, Ore. — Becca Bernard was one of three Boxers to record multiple hits in a game during the Boxers' pair of losses to the George Fox Bruins on Sunday afternoon.

Pacific fell 8-1 in game one of the twin bill, before dropping a 5-0 decision in game two.

The Boxers return to Sherman/Larkins Stadium on Wednesday to complete a previously suspended game against Puget Sound at 6 p.m.

GAME ONE: George Fox 8, Pacific 1
Five Boxers recorded hits as the Boxers fell in the opening game to the host Bruins.

George Fox scored one run in the opening inning before adding six runs in the bottom of the third to take a 7-0 lead entering the fourth inning of play.

Neither team was able to put up any runs in the fourth or fifth inning, but Pacific erased the shutout in the top of the sixth after
Haley Kodama (Pearl City, Hawaii) tripled with one out. A
Katelyn Macaitis-Smith (Salem, Ore.) ground out scored Kodama before the final out of the inning was recorded.

George Fox added an eighth run on a solo homer, to secure an 8-1 victory.

Ashley Martin (Sutherlin, Ore.) recorded two strikeouts in the loss.

GAME TWO: George Fox 5, Pacific 0
The second game of the afternoon saw a trio of Boxers record two-hit outings, as Kodama, Macaitis-Smith and Bernard (Roseville, Calif.) all recorded a pair of hits.

George Fox recorded a pair of runs in the bottom of the second, before adding two more in the third on a Tawny Becker home run.

The Bruins' final run of the day came in the bottom of the fourth, and held with George Fox picking up the 5-0 home victory.

Morgan Masters (Tenino, Wash.) notched a pair of strikeouts in four innings of relief work.
