Katelyn Macaitis-Smith collected a pair of hits in game one and ripped a RBI triple in game two as Pacific dropped a pair of games to Lewis & Clark at Sherman/Larkins Stadium on Saturday.

The Pioneers topped Pacific 3-1 in the opener, before earning a 6-4 win in game two over the Boxers.

Pacific and Lewis & Clark meet up again on Sunday at 11 a.m. for a doubleheader. Sunday is also Senior Day for the Boxers'

GAME ONE: Lewis & Clark 3, Pacific 1
Ashley Martin (Sutherlin, Ore.) struck out four, while Macaitis-Smith (Salem, Ore.) and
Cindy Chan (Torrance, Calif.) both notched two-hit games in the Boxers' game one loss to the Pioneers.

Lewis & Clark scored first in the top of the fourth, as Emily Drevdahl scored on a single by Tiana Rosario.

Pacific answered in the bottom of the frame when Macaitis-Smith singled to lead off the inning. A two-out stolen base, allowed Macaitis-Smith to tie the game at 1-1 on a single down the left field line by
Keri Togami (Mililani, Hawaii).

Lewis and Clark broke the tie in the top of the seventh with a pair of runs, to secure a 3-1 road win.

GAME TWO: Lewis & Clark 6, Pacific 4
Macaitis-Smith ripped a RBI triple in game two as Pacific fell to the Pioneers.

The Pioneers again opened the scoring, tallying two runs in the top of the second and the top of the fourth. Pacific got on the board in the bottom of the fourth when Macaitis-Smith reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to second on a ground out.

Morgan Bookout (Oregon City, Ore.) delivered a two-out double to right-center to score Macaitis-Smith and get Pacific on the board.

The Pioneers responded with two runs in the top of the fifth, to take a 6-1 lead into the bottom of the frame.

The Boxers answered in the bottom of the fifth when
Becca Bernard (Roseville, Calif.) reached on an infield single and advanced to third when
Kaitlynn Donaca (Oregon City, Ore.) reached on an error.
Â
Bernard would score on a groundout by Chan, while Donaca would score on a ground out by
Haley Kodama (Pearl City, Hawaii). With two outs,
Taylor Nishimura (Hilo, Hawaii) drew a hit by pitch, only to score three pitches later on a triple to right by Macaitis-Smith.
