The Boxers (0-5-2, 0-2-1 NWC) broke through first when a shot by junior
Adina Goodwin (Tualatin, Ore.) careened off the goalpost and ricocheted to the feet of senior
Kayla Mizo (Kailua, Hawaii). Mizo quickly first timed a shot inside the far post to give Pacific the early lead in the 24th minute.
Pacific added a second goal in the 28th minute when junior
Kira Negrete (Lakewood, Calif.) fired a low shot toward the nearpost from 28 yards out. Negrete's shot skipped beyond the Whitman goalkeeper, for her first goal of the season.
Whitman kept the game tilted toward the east end of the pitch, as Renee van Bergeijk tapped in a goal after Jordan O'Roy's shot hit the crossbar, pulling the Blues within one of the Boxers in the 76th minute. The Blues eventually tied the game in the 90th minute when O'Roy scored off a loose ball in the 18-yard box.
