FOREST GROVE, Ore. — A Willamette goal in the 10th minute proved the winner as the Bearcats topped the Boxers 3-0 at Ledbetter Field at Hanson Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Bearcats (7-2-1, 4-2-0 NWC) opened the scoring int he 10th minute when Marley Duncan scored her first goal of the season from 11 yards out.
Willamette added two goals from Emmy Manset in the 47th and 59th minutes to runaway with a 3-0 win over the Boxers (0-7-2, 0-4-1 NWC).
THE MATCH WAS OVER WHEN... Duncan's goal in the 10th minute came off an assist from Shanna Keil and was the eventual game winner for the Bearcats.
STAT OF THE GAME... Nine of Pacific's 10 outfield starters played the full 90 minutes on Saturday.
NEXT UP... The Boxers head to McMinnville, Ore., on Sunday with a noon kickoff scheduled against Linfield.
