A 9-0 spurt early into the second half by visiting Puget Sound put the visiting Loggers ahead for the rest of the game en route to a 105-84 win over host Pacific University in men's basketball action on Friday night in Forest Grove.
The Boxers (8-6, 2-3Â
NWC) dropped its fifth-consecutive game, landing four players in double figures including NateÂ
Olowo (RanchoÂ
Cucamonga, Calif.) and JayÂ
Merriweather (Buena Park, Calif.), who each had aÂ

Olowo had 22 points and a game-high 12 rebounds andÂ
Merriweather had 18 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Chris Evans (Seaside, Calif.) and
Davis Holly (Bend, Ore.) were each in double figures, scoring 12 points each for the Boxers.
The Loggers (10-3, 3-2Â
NWC), who extend their winning streak toÂ
four, landed five players in double figures and stretched a one-point halftime lead to 21. The 21-point victory is the largest of the season for Puget Sound. Â

Olowo had 12 of his 22 to lead the Boxers.

Wohrer made a pair of free throws to spark the game-deciding run for the Loggers. Pacific managed to cut the deficit to as little as six in theÂ
final 13:49 of the game. Puget Sound went ahead by as much as 24 en route to the win.

Bearcats were 80-49 winners over host Pacific Lutheran in Tacoma. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Willamette. Pacific has won its last two meetings in Salem.
