Nanea Lum paced the Pacific volleyball team with 10 kills en route to a .348 hitting percentage and 25-17, 25-10, 25-20 win over New Hope Christian on Saturday afternoon in Forest Grove.
The Boxers (14-6) showed the strength of its depth as freshman
Makenna Mahuna (pictured) had 41 assists; plus freshman
Elika Unti had eight kills and a .417 hitting percentage as well as senior
Natalia Burdulis had six kills and a .385 hitting percentage.
The Deacons had a .071 hitting percentage and had a balanced attack in the loss. Chandler Heinrick had five kills to lead New Hope Christian.
Lum had five kills each in the first two sets as Paciific hit .379 and .348 in the opening two sets. Senior
Bailey Servosss also had four kills and freshman
Haley Walz had four service aces in the opening set. Junior
Milana Ivkovic had five kills and freshman
Brittany Kahler had four more kills to lead a Pacific attack that hit .324 in the third set. Kahler also had two service aces and four digs.
Next weekend, Pacific will travel to face Whitman on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. and Whitworth on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m.
