Jordan Zweifel had 15 kills en route to a .462 hitting percentage to lead the Pacific volleyball team to a 25-18, 25-22, 25-21 win over host Whitman on Friday night in Walla Walla, Washington.

Milana Ivkovic, who had 10 kills and a .273 hitting percentage as Pacific hit .262 in the win.

The Blues (7-12, 3-8) had eight service aces and a .135 hitting percentage in the loss. Kalli Dickey paced the attack with seven kills for Whitman.

Pacific jumped out to a 7-0 advantage in the opening set and hit at a .407 clip to take the opening set. The Boxers went on a pair of 4-0 runs in the second set for a two-set lead; plus, senior
Morgan Mendicino had four kills to lead the Boxers. Zweifel anchored a 4-0 spurt in the third set that put Pacific ahead 11-9. The Blues managed to tie the set on a pair of occasions including at 14 until the Boxers silenced the host Blues attack with back-to-back kills by
Karlee Duncan and
Ellie Parker and a block by Duncan and Servoss that put Pacific ahead 18-15. The Boxers remained in front for the remainder of the set and closed out the match with a dump kill by Parker to wrap up the victory.

Next, Pacific will face a Whitworth squad, who has won its last three matches in a row and six of its last seven, on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Spokane. The lone loss in that stretch was a five-set loss to NAIA Lewis & Clark State on October 10.
