Despite a late aggressive offensive attack by the Pacific men's soccer team, the Boxers came up short in a 1-0 loss to host Whitworth on Saturday afternoon.
The Boxers (2-10-4, 1-8-3 NWC) had two shots blocked and another two fall wide in search of an equalizer in the defeat.
The Pirates (5-10-3, 4-6-2 NWC) ended a scoreless contest in the 67
th minute as Jose Bautista picked up a rebound after a shot by teammate Zanskar Blair.

Brock Jones had a clean sheet with six saves to his credit. Jones made five of his seven saves in the first 45 minutes as the two teams were scoreless at the halftime break.
