A 12-3 run to start the game led host Occidental to a 112-80 win over the Pacific University men's basketball. The run spoiled the 25-point effort by
Marcus Wallace, who scored 19 of his 25 points in the second half.

The Tigers raise its record to 10-0 in the win. Zach Baines scored an Occidental school record 50 points led all scorers in the win. He was joined in double figures by Austin Dewitz and Jonny Crosthwaite, who added 24 and 13 points, respectively. In the win, Occidental shot 77.6% (45-for-58) from the field.
The Boxers, who fall to 4-5, were led by the scoring effort from Wallace, who was in double figures for the eighth time on the young season. Plus, it is his fourth time over 20 points. Pacific also got nine points each from
Brevin Brown and
Ethan Moss.

The early spurt by the Tigers grew to as large as 31 in the opening half en route to the win and kept the Boxers comeback hopes at bay.
Next, Pacific will have a rematch against Cal Lutheran, who they defeated by a 126-109 margin on November 21 in Forest Grove. The Kingsmen and Boxers will tip off on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
