Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Pacific Loses to Eastern Connecticut State, 1-0

The Pacific women's soccer team ended their east coast trip with a tough 1-0 loss to Eastern Connecticut State on Saturday.

The goal came early in the second half after both teams played a scoreless first aided by three saves made by Boxer goalkeeper Saya Brown.
               
The Boxers' (0-2) first chance at attack came when Courtney Olsen had a shot saved by the Warriors' keeper in the 20th minute. The Boxers would come right back with two quick shot attempts by Kira Negrete, who had an attempt hit the crossbar. The attempt was followed up by an Olsen rebound attempt that was once again stopped in the 23rd minute.

The next wave of action would come provided by Negrete with another shot in the 56th minute going wide, the Warriors would use the possession switch to score the only goal of the match in the 57th minute just past Pacific goalkeeper Kali Barber, who subbed in for Saya Brown at the beginning of the second half. 

After subbing on in the second half, Lydia King would have her equalizing attempt saved by the keeper in the 69th minute. The Boxers would get one more shot off from the foot of Adina Goodwin in the 87th sailing wide of the net.

Next, the Boxers will remain on the road to face Corban on Thursday, Sept 6 at 7 p.m.
