The Pacific women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to host George Fox in Newberg on Saturday.
The Boxers (0-4, 0-1 NWC) had five shots and sophomore goalkeeper
Kali Barber made 10 saves in the loss.
The Bruins (3-0, 1-0 NWC) remained undefeated when Savannah Moisan headed in a feed from Kaitlyn Martinez in the fifth minute. Goalkeeper Annalisa Klein made two saves for the shutout.
George Fox withstood a pair of shots by the Boxers'
Emily Thompson that were blocked in the 13
th and 31
st minute.
Kira Negrete had an equalizer attempt that was saved in the 14
th minute and
Courtney Olsen organized a threat in the 80
th minute but the Bruins' kept the Boxers off the scoreboard en route to the shutout.
Barber made three saves in the first half and seven more in the second half in the 1-0 loss.
It will be a quick turnaround for the Boxes, who will host Lewis & Clark on Sunday at noon.
