Haley Walz (24 digs, 11 assists) – had double double performances to lead the Pacific volleyball team to a 21-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-21 win over Linfield on Saturday.
The Boxers (10-5, 4-2 NWC) came back for the win after losing the opening set for the second-straight night. Pacific hit .243 in the win, including a .355 clip during the third set.

Linfield started the match, leading 7-1 in the opening set en route to a 25-21 win over the Boxers. The Boxers nearly led from start to finish on the second set. Four kills by Mendicino sparked Pacific, who tied the match at a set apiece with a 25-20 win.
In the third set, Pacific raced out to an 8-3 lead and stretched the lead to as much as 11 in the second set. The Boxers ended the set on an 8-2 run including three kills by Mendicino and capitalizing on a pair of attack errors by the Wildcats.
The Boxers closed out the match with three-straight points after the set was tied at seven. A decisive 6-1 run provided enough of a cushion for Pacific, who hit .167 compared to .100 for the host Wildcats proved to be the difference.
Next, Pacific will come home to host Lewis & Clark on Friday, October 5 at 7 p.m. as they wrap up their first half of the Northwest Conference schedule.
