Pacific Falls to Visiting Whitworth 68-58

Whitworth would go on to take down the Boxers 68-58 despite turning the ball over five more times than Pacific and not making a single three-point field goal the entire second half.
 
The Boxers (7-11, 1-8 NWC) fell victim to a slow start, finding themselves down to the Pirates (10-8, 5-4 NWC) 18-9 after the first quarter. Despite improving their shooting every quarter after, the Boxers would not be able to climb their way back into the match.
 
Going into the half, the Boxers trailed 36-24 after Whitworth shot 50 percent from the field compared to 32 percent for Pacific.
 
In the second half, Ashley Jones would come alive for the Boxers scoring 11 points on 4-7 shooting including 3-4 from three-point land. Courtney Carolan and Shelby Holman would anchor the defense in the second-half, recording four and two steals respectively.
 
Carolan added seven second-half points as well, finishing with 13 points and five steals in the game. Jones who finished with 14 points, lead the Boxers overall. Liana Tanaka and Charli Elliott rounded things out for the Boxers adding nine points each. 

The Boxers would outscore Whitworth 34-32 in the second-half.
 
Pacific is back in action Saturday at 4:00 P.M. taking on Whitman.
