A goal by the Bruins' Madison Burch was just enough to lead visiting George Fox to a 1-0 win over Pacific University on Saturday afternoon.

The Boxers (3-6-1, 1-5-1 NWC), who were coming off its first conference win of the season, was seeking to build some momentum as it wrapped up its first part of the Northwest Conference part of the schedule.
 
The Bruins (4-5-1, 2-5 NWC) ended a 0-0 contest in the 55^th minute as Burch picked up a cross pass from Megan Harrington for what proved to be the difference. Brooke Jones made four saves for the shutout win.
 
Pacific got a shot from four different players – Catalina Alvarado, Courtney Olsen, Savannah Grosse and Maliah Jobe - in the loss. Despite allowing the game-winning goal, Kali Barber was strong between the posts, recording seven saves in the loss.
 
Next, Pacific will face Puget Sound on Sunday at noon in Tacoma to wrap up the first half of the rigors of the Northwest Conference play.
