The Pacific University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Whitman on Sunday.
The Boxers (1-7-2, 0-4-1 NWC) were tied at 0-0 through the first 45 minutes. Pacific
Woodey Greer accounted for two of the three shots in the loss.
The Blues (7-5, 4-2 NWC) scored a pair of second half goals en route to the win. Oscar Harding found the back of the net in the 53
rd minute to put the visitors ahead 1-0. Harding picked up a deflected shot inside the box for the 1-0 advantage.
Later in the game, in the 86
th minute, Austin Betschart added an insurance tally. A pair of Whitman goalkeepers Owen Davis-Bower and Jack Fiilipponi teamed up for the clean sheet. Fillipointi made a save on a
Lucas Muller shot for the lone save.
Next, Pacific will host George Fox on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. as part of a soccer doubleheader against the Bruins.
