Courtney Olsen scored twice and assisted on another; plus, sophomore
Emma Gusman scored her second game-winning goal of the season, leading the Boxers to a 4-3 win over Whitman on Sunday.
With the win, Pacific is now 3-5-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the Northwest Conference; whereas, Whitman falls to 1-8 overall and 1-5 in the Northwest Conference

Senior Courtney Olsen, who became the first Boxer since Holly Chang-Northway (Sept. 1, 2016 vs. Evergreen State), to record multiple goals in a game.Â

The Boxers built an early 3-0 lead on the first career goal by Olsen in the sixth minute of the contest. Olsen from the corner of the pitch took a pass from
Elizabeth Blair for a long ball to the far side of the net for the goal.

Pacific added to its lead as Olsen connected with freshman
Emily Rutkowski on a set piece on a corner kick in the 21
st minute. With a 2-0 lead, Olsen and the Boxers added to their lead on another set piece goal as Olsen sent a shot in from 30 yards out to the near side in the 25
th minute.

Whitman answered the early barrage, scoring a pair of goals 42 seconds apart for a 3-2 halftime margin. Then, in the second half, they managed to tie the game in the 78
th minute.

There was a lot of offense in the contest as the two teams combined for 30 shots, the Blues recording an 18-12 advantage. Pacific junior goalkeeper
Kali Barber made eight saves for the Boxers, six of which came in the final 45 minutes.
Next up for the Boxers is a matchup on Saturday, Oct. 12 at noon against George Fox at Ledbetter Field.Â
