Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Pacific Loses to CMS, 114-92

Four Boxers scored in double figures in a 114-92 loss for the Pacific men's basketball team to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

The Boxers (2-5) were led by a 19-point effort from Davis Holly to go along with a season-high 15 points from Nick Drynan, 13 from Marcus Wallace and 10 from Colin Rardin.

The Stags (3-1) had five players in double figures, including Jeremy Horn and Maxwell Kirsch, who had 24 and 20 points, respectively. Mitchell Kirsch (14 points), Miles President (10 points) and Chukwueloka Oti (10 points) also were in double figures.

The two teams traded the lead back and forth through much of the first half. Back-to-back baskets by Oti put CMS ahead 36-33 with 6:52 left in the opening 20 minutes and for the remainder of the contest.

After the Stags pushed the lead to double figures, later in the half, the closest Pacific managed to get would be nine on a Holly jumper just before the intermission.

Pacific forced 24 turnovers in the loss, scoring 19 points off those miscues and the Boxers shot 40.3% (29-for-72) from the field in the defeat.

Next up for Pacific is a rematch against Eastern Oregon, who the Boxers dropped a 132-125 overtime matchup in the home opener on November 15 in La Grande.
