The Pacific University men's wrestling team dropped a 16-12 decision in a dual meet at Southwestern Oregon Community College on Thursday in Coos Bay, Oregon.

The Boxers' Zack Chavez (174 lbs.) and Romeo Hernandez (197 lbs.) each were victorious by forfeit. One of the more tightly contested matches was the season opener for the Boxers' Landon Obra-Nakata at 133 lbs., who dropped a 7-5 decision to Frankie Harlow. 

Pacific's James Calhoun (157 lbs.) and Samuel Cortez (165 lbs.) saw action in the dual, losing by a 9-3 and 12-4 margin, respectively.
