Big Second Half Leads Lewis & Clark Past Pacific

Lewis & Clark shot 60% (21-for-35) from the field in the final 20 minutes to break a 52-52 tie at half en route to a 99-79 win over the Pacific University men's basketball team. The Pioneers stretched a one-point lead to a double-digit lead with 16-straight points leads to take a double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest.
 
Pacific (10-14, 4-11 NWC) was led by the 16-point effort from Andy Isokpehi in the loss. Marcus Wallace and John Rigatti added 15 and 12 points, respectively.

The Pioneers (8-16, 4-11 NWC) were led by Zeke Crawford, who had a double double with a game-high 34 points and 17 rebounds to lead the visitors from Portland. He was joined in double figures by Daelon Floyd (13 points), Kody Kennedy (12 points) and Mak Hutson (11 points).
 
The first 20 minutes saw the two teams tied on 14 occasions and knotted up at 52. The largest lead for the Boxers in the opening half was four points when Davis Holly hit a 3-pointer with 12:07 left in the first 20 minutes. Lewis & Clark also had a lead as large as four on three occasions in the opening half. Pacific shot 41.3% (19-for-46) and Lewis & Clark shot 48.9% (22-for-45) as the two teams were tied at 52 at the halftime break.
 
The Pioneers scored the first four points of the second half to take the lead for the remainder of the game. Twice, Pacific had the deficit down to one in the opening minutes of the second half before the decisive run by the visitors.
 
Pacific will close out the season on Saturday at 6 p.m. with a matchup against Linfield. Prior to the game, the Boxers will honor Andrew Butterfield, who is wrapping up his career as a Boxer.
