The Pacific University women's tennis team lost to Whitman, 6-3 on Sunday in Walla Walla, Washington.
 
The Blues (5-5, 2-1 NWC) took all three doubles matches to begin the day before the Boxers closed the gap with wins at #5 and #6 singles by 
Johanna Wilson and 
Marissa Hayashi. Wilson, who won 6-2, 6-4 has a team-best four singles win on the season; plus Hayashi, who won by a 6-0, 6-3 margin improves her record on the spring to 3-2.
 
The other win on the day for Pacific came when Haile Chang 
(pictured) won at #3 singles in a third-set tiebreaker. Chang and Audrey Grigore split the first two sets before the Boxer freshman, won a third-set tiebreaker by a 10-7 margin.
