Roya Tahmassebi was not enough as the Pacific University women's lacrosse team lost to Ohio Wesleyan, 17-4 on Wednesday night.
The Bishops (5-1) were playing their second of three games against Northwest Conference foes in a West Coast trip for the Delaware, Ohio based institution. Megan McElgunn accounted for eight goals in the win, plus teammate Sloane Baumgartner added four. OWU goalkeeper Kelly Coffyn made three saves in the win.
The Boxers (1-1) got a three-goal effort from Tahmassebi for her fourth career hat trick.
Alexa Erickson added a goal in the final minutes for her fifth goal of the season.
Madyson Ivey had four saves in the loss.
Next, Pacific will start Northwest Conference play with a matchup on Friday at 4 p.m. at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.
