Sean Murphy. Miyagawa and Hu were 6-1 winners and Chung/Murphy picked up a 6-4 win. Seattle secured the match, winning all six singles matches.
Despite the split outcomes on the day, Pacific head coach
Pete Yellico was pleased with what he saw in his team. "Splitting squads and playing two matches simultaneously is something we have not done. It was a great way to show our depth. Grabbing a 9-0 win over Puget Sound with all freshmen and sophomores is great for our young talent. Seattle is a tough Division I team, but winning the doubles was a great takeaway for us going forward this season."
The Boxers will step out of Northwest Conference play for a Spring Break trip to California, Mar. 26-29 where they will face Chapman (Mar. 26), Biola (Mar. 27), Colby College (Mar. 28), Occidental (Mar. 28) and Redlands (Mar. 29).
