The Pacific University women's tennis team lost by a 5-2 decision to NCAA Division II University of New Haven at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida on Friday.

The Boxers (2-7) picked up a win at #3 doubles by Adrienne Powell and Jessica Eligio, who won by a 6-3 margin over the Chargers' team of Caitlyn Burridge and Nicole Calabrese.

New Haven won the other two matches for the doubles point and early 1-0 lead in the match.

After playing four matches on Thursday that were decided in third-set tiebreakers, Pacific was involved in three more on Friday. This time, the Boxers were victorious in two of the contests including a 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 victory by Adrienne Powell at #3 singles. For Powell, it is her third-straight win on the season. The other win for Pacific came as Johanna Wilson was a 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) win at #4 singles. Wilson and Powell share the team lead with six singles wins.
 
Next on the schedule for Pacific is a matchup against UW-Oshkosh on Sunday in Orlando.
