Tahmassebi Records Fifth Hat Trick of the Season in Loss to Linfield

Pacific University junior Roya Tahmassebi scored twice in each half as the women's lacrosse team dropped a 19-4 decision to Linfield in a Northwest Conference matchup on Wednesday night in Forest Grove.

The Boxers (2-4, 1-3 NWC) were led by the offensive efforts by Tahmassebi, who had her fifth hat trick in six games. She had six shots and Hannah Reulbach added three in the loss.

The Wildcats (4-4, 3-1 NWC) were led by Bethany Shade and Jenna Hessel, who had seven and four goals, respectively.
 
Pacific goalkeeper Madyson Ivey had nine saves, five in the first 30 minutes and four more in the second 30 minutes. Linfield utilized a pair of goalkeepers in the contest with Kylee Duey, earning the starting nod with four saves in the win.
 
Next, Pacific will be home for five of its next six games including a contest on Sunday at 1 p.m. against Puget Sound.
