The Pacific University women's tennis team lost by a 9-0 margin to Linfield in McMinnville on Saturday.
 
Linfield won all three doubles matches to begin the day. The Wildcats managed to win all six singles matches.
 
One of the more tightly contested matches was at #3 singles between the Boxers' Adrienne Powell and Alysse Nakasato. Powell won the first set by a 7-5 margin for the early lead. Nakasato came back with a 6-0 victory in the second set to tie the match at a set apiece. Then, Nakasato won the third set in a tiebreaker by a 10-5 margin for the win.
 
Pacfiic will be back in action on Sunday when they host Pacific Lutheran at 11 a.m. at the Holce Tennis Courts.
