The Pacific University women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 win over Pacific Lutheran on Sunday at the Holce Tennis Courts in Forest Grove.
The Boxers (4-10, 1-4 NWC) started the day, winning two of three doubles matches for the fifth time on the season. The #1 doubles team of
Marissa Hayashi and
Chantelle Baclay were 8-6 winners and
Johanna Wilson and
Halie Chang won at #2 doubles by an 8-4 margin.
Pacific continued its winning ways, winning five of six singles matches. Baclay was a 6-0, 6-3 winner at #1 singles, Chang won at #2 singles by a 6-3, 6-2 margin and a 6-0, 6-4 win at #3 singles by
Adrienne Powell clinched the win. The winning continued as the Boxers'
Marissa Hayashi was victorious at #5 singles, 6-1, 6-4 and
Johanna Wilson rallied for a 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) win to close out the match.
The Boxers are back in action on Sunday, April 14 when they host Willlamette at 11 a.m.
