The Pacific University volleyball team extended its winning streak to five games with a 25-16, 25-21, 28-30, 25-17 win over Austin College as part of the Pacific Invitational on Saturday.
The Boxers (7-3) had three players –
Nanea Lum,
Karlee Duncan,
Jordan Zweifel – with 14 kills as Pacific hit at a .219 clip in the win.
Milana Ivkovic and
Elika Unti added nine and five kills, respectively.
All the potent offense was set up by the play of Boxer setter
Makenna Mahuna, who had a career-high 52 assists.
Haley Walz had a match-high 39 digs in the win for Pacific.
A versatile attack for Austin College (5-8) was led by a nine-kill effort from Christine Royalty. The 'Roos setters Brooklyn Talley and Allison Pierce had 16 and 15 assists, respectively. Talley also had 10 digs for a double double in the loss.
Next, Pacific will begin Northwest Conference play on Friday, Sept. 20 as they travel to George Fox at 7 p.m. in Newberg.
