Pacific Men's Soccer Loses to Puget Sound, 2-0

A pair of second half goals proved to be the difference as the Pacific men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to host Puget Sound in the Northwest Conference opener for both teams.

The Boxers (1-4-1, 0-1 NWC) were limited to a pair of shots in the loss by Puget Sound. Braden Kojima and Robert Nurmi each had a shot in the loss.

The Loggers (4-0-2, 1-0 NWC), who have not allowed a goal in its last five games, showed its prowess on the defensive side of the field.

Puget Sound ended the 0-0 game in the 58th minute when Luke Murdock tallied his fourth goal of the season. Next, the Loggers added an insurance tally in the 77th minute when Angel Herrera-Flores found the back of the net for the final margin.

It will be a quick turnaround for Pacific, who will face Pacific Lutheran on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Tacoma.
