With less than a minute, Pacific University sophomore Emma Gusman fired a shot to the lower left of the goal following a pass from Lydia King and Peyton Seals to spark the Boxers' to a 2-1 win over Cal Tech on Thursday night.

The Boxers (1-1) got on the scoreboard when freshman Taylor Lyle successfully converted on a crossing pass from teammate Maliah Jobe in the third minute of the non-conference matchup.
 
The Beavers (0-3) got the equalizer in the 88^th minute when Krystin Brown found the back of the net on a shot from 14 yards out to tie the game at 1.
 
The offensive attack for Pacific saw four-different players record a shot on goal in the win. Late in the contest, the Boxers' Nicole Henry had a shot that was punched away by the Beavers' keeper to keep Pacific from adding to its lead in the 80^th minute.
 
The Boxers will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. when they host Northwest Christian at Ledbetter Field on Hanson Stadium in another non-conference matchup.
