Three Boxers scored in double figures to lead the Pacific men's basketball team to a 99-91 win over host Willamette on Saturday night in Salem.
The Boxers (7-18, 4-12 NWC) were led by a 20-point effort from
John Rigatti, who was playing in his final game. He was joined in double figures by
Nick Drynan and
Colin Rardin, who had 15 and 13 points, respectively. Drynan wraps up his freshman season with 12-straight games in double figures.
The Bearcats (1-24, 0-16 NWC) were led by a 21-point effort from Daniel Plumer, who led four Willamette players in double figures. Ben Sutton (19 points), Cade Whicker (13 points) and Justus Eaglesmith (10 points) were also in double digits.
The two teams were tied on three occasions in the opening five minutes until a brief 7-2 spurt put the visitors up on the scoreboard for a lead they would not relinquish. A 15-5 run to end the first 20 minutes put the Boxers ahead by double digits for nearly the rest of the contest.
The game closes out the 2019-20 season for both programs.
