SPOKANE, Wash., - The Pacific University men's soccer team dropped a match to Whitworth on Saturday afternoon in Spokane. The Boxers were outshot by the Pirates 17-8 for the game.

Pacific (4-5-1, 1-3-1 NWC) got off to a quick start on the offensive attack registering two corner kicks and two shots in the first 9 minutes of the match. In a half that saw 10 total shots between the two teams, the match was tied 0-0 when the teams went to the locker room. Pacific goalkeeper
Zachary Aderinto (Freshman/Kailua-Kona, HI) was able to save four shots in the half that were on frame.

In the first minute of the second half, Whitworth (4-4-1, 3-2-0 NWC) was able to find the back of the net on their first shot. Whitworth kept the offensive attack on as they were able to fire three more shots over the next 6 minutes with the last one finding the net again putting the Pirates up 2-0.
