TACOMA, Wash.- The Pacific University men's soccer team played their final road contest of the season on Sunday afternoon and suffered a 3-0 defeat to Puget Sound.
Pacific (6-10-2, 3-8-2 NWC) couldn't seem to find rhythm in their passing and mustered just four shots in the match while Puget Sound (7-6-3, 6-4-3 NWC) created some very good scoring opportunities with their nine shots, five of which on target.
The Loggers, on the front foot for majority of the game, found the opening goal in the 24
th minute through Liam Elliot. It was Cale Spence who doubled the lead for the hosts just before halftime, converting from the penalty spot.
The hosts put the game away in the 88
th minute when Tyler Zamira found the back of the net, sealing the three points for his team.
The Boxers won four corner kicks on the day but were unable to capitalize on those opportunities.
