SALEM, Ore.- The Pacific University Volleyball team struggled to find their rhythm as they fell to Willamette in straight sets on Friday night (15-25, 23-25, 14-25).
The Boxers (4-8, 2-4 NWC) hit just .137 as a team and committed seven service errors that would prove to be costly. The Bearcats (6-6, 3-4 NWC) were very impressive on their home court, posting a hitting percentage of .244 with 43 kills in the match.
Claire Stipsits (Sophomore/Ontario, Canada) led the team offensively with 10 kills while hitting .278. The sophomore was also very effective on the defensive end, tallying 11 digs to notch the double-double.
Elika Unti (Senior/Castro Valley, CA) chipped in with eight kills and committed just one attack error.
Haley Walz (Senior/Tucson, AZ) put on another solid display with 20 digs.
Mara Murphy (Freshman/Salt Lake City, UT) racked up seven kills and
Carissa Ramirez (Senior/Hillsboro, OR) posted four of her own.
Setter
Shaianne Cambra (Junior/Kapolei, HI) led the squad with 21 assists.

Pacific heads north to Tacoma, Wash. tomorrow at 7 p.m. to face Pacific Lutheran as they look to get back to their winning ways.
