FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University men's basketball team cruised to a 102-90 win over the Multnomah Lions Friday night at the Stoller Center.

The Boxers (2-1) used their defense to stifle the Lions forcing 30 turnovers for the contest. These turnovers produced 34 points for the Boxers who were able to get out in transition before the defense was able to set up. The Boxers defense was led by
Lucas Winkler (Freshman/ Portland, OR), who had a game high three steals.

Pacific found themselves down 17-13 before putting together an 11-4 run to take a three point lead capped by a
Guy Littlefield (Sophomore/ Forest Grove, OR). The Lions produced a 22-15 scoring differential to finish the last nine minutes of the first half to take a 51-44 lead at the break. Pacific was led by
Mario Mora (Senior/ Bend, OR) in the first half who had nine points on three of four shooting from three-point range. Assisting in the offensive scoring in the first  was
Cayden Wagner (Freshman/ Portland, OR) who tallied three from long range while making his home debut.

The Boxers would come out in the second half clicking on all cylinders in the second half. Using the home crowd to their advantage, the Boxers opened the first five minutes of the second half on a 14-6 run to take a 58-57 lead. In the second half, the Boxers were able to pull down 12 offensive rebounds. In the game, the Boxers were able to pull down 21 total offensive rebounds. Following the eight-minute media timeout, the Boxers were able to close out the game on a 22-15 run to secure the lead.
