FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University wrestling teams hosted their first meet in almost two years on Thursday evening, as Linfield and Pacific Lutheran made their way to the Stoller Center to face off against the Boxers
Pacific had some fantastic showings on both the men's and women's sides of the competition.
Brody Piercy (Terrebonne, OR) opened the event with a 3-1 victory over Linfield's Jakob Jarvis, setting the tone for the Boxers.
On the women's side,
Sophia Mercado (Fremont, CA) earned her first win of the season by taking down Carissa Love of Linfield, 10-0.
Adeline Chapton (Genoa, NV) followed with a victory of her own, defeating her opponent 10-2.
The Boxers got their final win of the meet from
Andrew Zinn (Lakewood, WA), who defeated Pacific Lutheran's Tyler Stratton, 6-0.

Pacific will compete in one more meet before the end of the calendar year when they head to Reno, Nev. to take part in the Reno TOC on Dec. 19.
