The Boxer volleyball team remained unbeaten on the season as they took down Linfield at home on Thursday night claiming a three-set win over the Wildcats, 25-23, 25-19, 25-15.
First set of the night was back and forth with both teams holding a few point advantage at different times during the set but the Boxers finished with three of the final four points of the set on a
Jordan Zweifel kill and pair of kills from
Claire Stipsits to take it 25-23.
An early 4-0 run by the Boxers in set two gave Pacific control of the set against the Wildcats and the Boxers put the finishing touches on the set scoring five of the final six points in the sett to win set wto 25-19.
Boxers fell behind 3-1 in the third set but punched right back to swing the lead their way and went on multiple 4-0 runs and a 6-0 run in the set to take it 25-15 and win the match 3-0.
Stipsits led the Boxers with 10 kills and added eight digs, while Zweifel added seven kills and
Nanea Lum recorded eight kills and six digs.
Makenna Mahuna tallied 27 assists and five digs, while
Haley Walz had 12 digs.
The win moves the Boxers to 4-0 on the season and they waste no time getting back to action as they travel to McMinnville on Friday, March 19th for another matchup with Linfield.
